I was very pleased to find this item popping up for review. It is smooth and easy reading, concise, yet it packs so much story woven within its lines. I enjoyed the point of view of the woman, incrementally falling out of love with her boyfriend. She is thinking about the changes, the twists and turns her emotions are playing and that ultimately, she will have to say goodbye to the relationship she is in presently. Yet, she wishes he would notice those little signs that mean a relationship is coming to an end. She doesn't want to be the one to "end it." One has to feel bad for the guy. She's living a lie, dragging it out, and there is no good that can come from it. However, at the end, the reader sort of feels that the man knew and was prepared to move forward in his life. Lovely meter, beautifully flowing from line to line, with a certain grace to it that softens the bitterness of a relationship's demise. Excellent poetry! Until next time--write on!
