Review of Muddy Hell and Gone

First and foremost, thank you for sharing your work . I am not an expert reviewer. I am just another writer, but I know it is the reviews that help us to perfect our craft. My opinions are just that; my opinions.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

The story of a soldier who is alone and wet and muddy. He is in despair as he remembers the praise he got when he enlisted and prepared to go to this war. This was going to be an adventure. war is certainly no adventure.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

The words of the story depict exactly the feeling of his disgust "The terrible sights and sounds he’d faced trooped through his tortured mind all written on the faces of the men; boys really, that he’d eaten, slept and fought with, then watched die. Today had started out like so many others. They began patrol so early that the sun was barely up, so the boys never saw it coming."

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

expand your story.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Keep writing.
