*Balloonp* Hiya Connieann! I am happy to do a review to celebrate you! *Delight*

*Flowery* I was drawn to the theme of the tale about meeting up with old friends! Your description of the main character and the gals were vivid and the tone was affectionate in the reminiscing. I really liked the poetic comparisons in the first paragraph like "leaves" and "snagged"! *Smile*

You drew me into the dream and then up popped the unexpected problem. Good job! In part two you showed Darlene's experience in a realistic way and kept the tension 'til the end. I was hoping along with her.

The idyllic picture that the letter sparked in the middle of Darlene's waiting was a great relief and contrast in emotion! A good effect! Life can be fun is a good reminder to focus on.

The issue is such a relevant one nowadays. I like how the story had my mind thinking so many possibilities--would she go, would they come see her, the idea of lost time and what is important, etc.

This was a wonderful read and reminded me of those movies where old friends get together--- wives, and the one with Bette Midler. The names escape me but came to my mind as I read your opening. I love those experience pieces. Good job!

Light on the path as you write on!
