This is a review for "Black Magic Birthday Review Bash" Open in new Window.

Idea

What a great idea this is - I love the theme of using the WDC Apps as part of a contest AND the fact that it is a flash fiction contest. Although there are a few flash fiction contests on the site, there are not many for the birthday week - or for that matter any which offer such an array of prizes! *Bigsmile* *Cellphone*

Layout

Great layout, clear rules and I like the colour theme. *Cellphone*


Prizes

Great prizes are offered with everyone being a winner - not only do you offer 1500 GP's for every entry, you then have a chance at winning a round prize AND a grand prize! Can't say fairer than that!! *Delight* *Cellphone*


What I liked

I have really enjoyed taking part in this contest over the past week - it has made me think "outside the box" if you like regarding prompts I would usually be quick to dismiss as too obscure. It's nice that it is a daily thing and you don't have to wait ages to see if you have won a round! I am a fan of writing flash fiction and this contest has encouraged me to write THREE stories last week - one of which I even wrote on a train! *Laugh* *Cellphone*

Suggestions

My suggestion is that this is run at other times of the year apart from the birthday week! *Wink* *Cellphone*
