** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Hi J. M., This review is just my humble opinion and is meant to be helpful, not discouraging. Chapter: I just read the porlogue of your novel, Apostasy: The Book of Ithaca. Title: Prologue rev. 2 Author: J. M. Kraynak APPEAL: Those who like to read about murder will find this an interesting beginning. Plot: At this point I’m not sure what this novel will be about. Style & Voice: The writing is in active voice. Referencing: I have no reference as to what time period this tale is being told in. Scene/Setting: You used a nice balance of imagery and well written words that made me feel as if I am there. POINT OF VIEW: I know who's point of view I’m in. Characters: The attacker comes across quite believable. What little is revealed about the nun shows she’s a simple woman with a simple life. The attacker seems to be a blood thirsty killer who love killing. Grammar: My editing skills are not the best in the world, yet I try my best to let the author know if something looks out of place, misspelled or missing. Everything seems to be alright. Showing vs. Telling: Seems okay at this point. Just My Personal Opinion: I wish you would have given us a little more to go one. I’m not sure what kind of tale this is going to be. Yet I am curious enough to read the first chapter. Great job.
