"Sure I would", Sandy told Phil, "it would just be harder to carry you around from place to place".
While Phil wasn't satisfied by the response, he couldn't help but laugh. It was a funny joke after all. Besides, the comment took Phil completely off guard.
Suddenly, Phil found himself flying into the dark air of the basement. For Phil, it seemed as though he went three stories in the air. Then, the descent began. Phil could hear Sandy giggle slightly, which Phil found annoying. It was probably this annoyance, combined with the shock that kept Phil from screaming in terror at a very frightful situation. Finally, the fall ended as Phil fell onto the fleshy cushiony comfort of Sandy's open awaiting palm.
Giggling, Sandy spoke first, "You should have seen the look on your face. I'm not exactly what you would call a girly girl, but that was just so cute".
Getting back to his feet, Phil took his turn to speak. "Why would you do that", Phil asked as calmly as he could (the adrenaline was still pumping), "That was not cool".
"But it was fun, wasn't it", was Sandy's answer, "I could tell by the look on your face. You may have been scared, but you enjoyed it. Besides, I only did it to see how you would react".
"And", Phil enquired for furher information.
"I'm impressed", Sandy continued, "You're not afraid to speak your mind at all, yet you don't just yell at people whenever they do things you don't like. You see, you can tell things about people from the simplest things. However, we should get going now. I'm sure the class is looking for you".
"You mean us", Phil corrected.
"Nah", Sandy corrected Phil's correction, "They don't really care too much about me. You're a big deal, though. I'll probably get in trouble when we go back".
