The rest of the class period passes by without any further incident, though Phil was not trusting of the girl behind him. He kept feeling her foot looming just over his shoulder, but whenever he turned, he saw them planted firmly beneath her desk.
Soon enough the class bell rang. As Phil gathered his belongings, he felt himself gently scooped up. He looked up and was shocked to see that girl grinning at him like the Chesire Cat. Seeing the look on his face, she winked at him.
Kendra carried him as gingerly as she could to the front of the class. With the most innocent look, she asked "Ms. Prittey, can I take Phil to his next class?" The teacher requested that Kendra sit Phil on her own desk.
"Phil, what class do you have next?" she asked him. Quickly fumbling to find his schedule he informed the huge instructor that he had Study Hall next with Mrs. Hashbrun. Hearing this, Kendra's face lit up.
"Oh! That's my next class too! I can take him no problem Ms. Prittey!" she exclaimed.
Without allowing Phil any time to protest, the teacher nodded her approval. Kendra once again lifted Phil as gently as she could and proceeded out of the classroom. Once she was sure she was out of view of Ms. Prittey, her grip changed from a cupped hand to a fist. She raises you to her face and blows you a kiss.
"We're going to have some fun today Phil!"
Soon enough, she rounds the corner into Study Hall, once again returning her hand to a gentle cup. She brings you to Mrs. Hashbrun.
"Mrs. Hashbrun, this is Phil Bermine. He's new here. Ms. Prittey gave me the responsibility of taking care of him today." The old teacher looked down over her glasses and mumbled something before returning to her book. "Ms. Prittey also made us partners on a research project. Is it ok if I take him to the library?" Hashbrun once again mumbled and handed Kendra a hall pass.
