Tom walked slowly toward the hole and drew the curtain to one side with his hand so that he could see inside. He put his head through the opening and peered inside.
On the other side of the drape it looked like a long white corridor that went on for eternity. Each side of the corridor was lined with many hundreds of holes with drapes. They were all the same colour and none were labeled in any way so that they all looked identical.
Tom let go of the curtain-like drape with his hand and was immediately pulled into the corridor. As soon as he was in, the holes on the walls began to spin around and rearrange themselves. Tom could only stare and try to follow where his exit was going. His attempts failed. He now had no idea of how to get out, back to his home and family.
