"Well!" You said, surprised once again by your girlfriend's plot for action. "I guess I could consider that." You said, smiling teasingly at Katie.
"No! No!!!" Katie screamed once again.
"Come on, do you really think screaming is gonna get you anywhere at this point?" You said calmly to your toddlerized ex.
Katie then stopped screaming, but started to cry instead.
"Everybody hates me!" Little Katie sobbed.
"No, no no no no no..." You said, resting her on your shoulder and patting her back, "don't cry, don't cry."
"Damn," Lauren said with a somewhat guilty face, "it's a lot harder to hate her when she's like this."
"I know..." You whispered back over Katie's crying, "...I feel like crap about it already. I think you're right; she deserves another shot at life. Can we just try it out for a while now, and make a big decision like that when we come to it?"
Lauren was ecstatic just for the possibility of the idea following through.
"Yes, totally!"
You looked again at the adorable head of Katie, still crying a little, and definitely not simply to attract attention at this point. Suddenly, you felt a vibration in your belly, and it was coming from Katie, it seemed. Was it a rumble in her tummy, or did she have her hand down there, or did she--
"Ohhh..." You said, when you realized what it was. Well, needing diapers logically would come packed in with a baby-regression like what you pulled on Katie. But it was weird that she didn't even seem to notice her urination at all.
"Hey um, Lauren;" You whispered, "the baby is kind of having an accident. Could you, you know--"
"No." Lauren interrupted with a smile. "I'm gonna go get her bottle and other stuff ready for tonight."
"Come on, this is a woman's job." You said back.
Lauren paused for a second, and then signaled for you to give her the toddler,
"You're right. Besides, you've seen her like that enough already."
You rolled your eyes, gave Katie to Lauren, then asked,
