You finishes off your huge slice of pizza while Robbie eats his. Robbie suddenly waves madly, and a group of two girls and four guys starts walking towards them. You’re surprised to see a black guy and girl mixing with a Puerto Rican guy, two white guys and a white girl. ‘But then,’ you think, ‘Robbie is Puerto Rican and he’s OK.’ Robbie hails the group as they approach.
“Hey guys, this is Pete. Pete, this is Moisha, Bennett, Tony, Brad, Adam and Stacey.”
“Hi, Pete. Are you a friend of Robbie’s?” asked Moisha.
“He is now,” said Robbie. “He just moved in today. He’s going to go to Baker in the fall.”
“Great,” said Bennett and Adam together. You see that both of them are tall and broad-shouldered, but Bennett has that hard muscular jock look, while Adam’s gut is, well, substantial. ‘At least there’ll be another fat guy in school,’ you muse silently, ‘Adam looks almost as big as me!’
