Tommy remained determined to get a closer look at the odd bug, despite his friend's growing impatience.
Joe grunted loudly in irritation. "You're crazy, man!"
The giant teenager bent closer, staring at the charred little bug. A gleam in his eyes, he sucked a defiant blast of air into his lungs.
Tiny Mr. Smith heard the rush of air being drawn into Joe's lungs, but he forced himself to remain absolutely still. If the titans thought he was still alive, they would surely finish him off.
"Wait!" Tommy shouted as he realized Joe's intent.
Ignoring his buddy, Joe exhaled forcefully. The gust of wind smashed into the nearly incinerated bug and blew the tiny creature over the edge of the table.
Joe, looking quite pleased with himself, looked at Tommy. "Now, can we bail from this place?"
Tommy thought of looking for the tiny bug, and did scan the floor near the table.
"Enough already," Joe complained.
Tommy sighed. "All right. I guess it was just a bug."
"Yeah, that's right," Joe said. "What else would it be?"
The two teenaged behemoths failed to notice the tiny, scorched form that had fallen painfully to the distant floor, and now hoped desperately to avoid their destructive feet long enough for them to make their exit.
