Yugi's Room...

In his neverending quest to prove that he's a better duelist than Yugi Mutou, Seto Kaiba decided to visit Yugi at his house while all his friends were visiting. He was coy about it, building up to the challenge, and amazingly enough finding himself having fun and getting along with Yugi and his friends, Anzu, Otogi, Shizuka, Jonouchi, and Honda.
Then came the challenge.
A few turns later, Seto made his last play of the game. "Lemme see, draw and play fusion substitute Vasago - God Of Destruction, Fusion Gate with Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon to make Master Of Dragon Knight. Activate facedown Harpy's Feather Sweep to wipe out your facedown cards... Heheh. And leaving your attack mode Retrained Elven Swordsman comepletely helpless to defense itself. I attack, and after damage calculation... I win."
Seto grinned smugly as Yugi scowled at his cards.
Jonouchi laughed, he couldn't help it. "I guess it was the other you that was the good Duelist."
Yugi grumbled, picking up his cards and putting them back into his deck. "Well, he was the one with all the nerve at least."
Seto chuckled, kissing his Blue Eyes White Dragons and shuffling them back into his deck. "Most satisfying. Thank you Yugi."
Yugi grinned. "Hey, I'll get better. And then I'll beat you just as much as the other me did."
Otogi smirked from where he lay on Yugi's bed, sifting through his own deck. "You really think so? After all, Kaiba's had ample time to strategize against every monster you have ever played. Especially since you've decided not to add any new monsters."
Jonouchi threw a pillow at him. "Who's side are you on?!" he snapped, although he grinned as he said it.
The two girls giggled, trading jokes about the boys in whispers. Kaiba was close enough to listen in, and grinned as he heard Anzu tell a doozy about Jonouchi that made Shizuka blush.
"Careful, Jonouchi. Stay neutral or I'll tell you what Anzu just said about you," Seto said, causing Anzu to blush in embarassment now. Shizuka and Yugi giggled as Otogi looked interested.
"Now I'm interested," he said. Jonouchi threw the other pillow that was on the loveseat in Yugi's room at him and glared at Anzu.
"What did you tell her, Anzu?" he demanded. Anzu just smiled innocently and shrugged.
Honda, who was staying out of the line of fire, watched from near a window as Jonouchi tried to get Anzu to tell what she said about him. Failing that, he turned to Seto to try him.
Seto just glared at him for a few moments and he gave up without asking anything. Everyone other than Jonouchi, Seto included, cracked up with laughter.
Honda, recovering himself, looked out the window again... and sweatdropped.
"Um... Yugi?"
"Yeah Honda?"
"We defeated all the Doma guys, right?"
Yugi nodded. "Yeah. Remember, we faced Rafael, Varon, and Amelda at that last tournament Pegasus held?"
Honda nodded. "Dartz and his magic was completely destroyed, right?"
Everyone traded worried looks. "Yeah..." Yugi said.
"Okay... Kaiba, is your hologram tech malfunctioning?"
"Of course not!" Seto snapped, "I'd have been informed immediately if it was!"
Honda nodded slowly. Everyone was VERY nervous now. "I think we're in trouble, then," he said.
"Why's that?" Jonouchi asked hesitantly.
Honda turned back to them, grinning weakly. "There's a Duel Monster outside the window."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
