Missy reached Lacy's neighborhood a bit later than she had hoped, but since her only delay was being interviewed for the local news station, it was all good. She shrunk down to about a mere 20 feet as she more stealthily approached her friend's house, and then shot up to 500 feet once there. Missy tapped the door with her index finger, as she never used the doorbell. It just didn't feel as personal to her.
Lacy had been working on chores when she heard a knock on the door. Grunting in annoyance, she tried to ignore it only for it to continue. Finally, Lacy gave in and went to the door to open it, and encountered the biggest pair of feet she had seen in her life. Followed by the biggest girl she had ever seen in her life, who possessed a very familiar face and the biggest grin. "M-Missy? I-Is that you?" She stammered. Missy just kept smiling as she answered, "Hi Lacy! Can I come in?"
Lacy asked, fearfully, "Uh...aren't...aren't you just a bit too big to fit? I mean you could practically smash my house in just a few steps!" Missy shook her head, the smile not fading one bit, "Nonsense! I can never be too big! I'd love to outgrow this universe just to see what lies beyond, and then outgrow that too! But right now..." She shrunk back down to her original 5'5 height, a full 2 inches taller than her friend, and said while giggling like a madwoman, "See? Now I'm not too big to fit, am I?"
Once inside, Missy helped Lacy with her chores. In one instance, to clean the ceiling fans, she grew herself big enough to comfortably reach the top of the fan's blades without having to raise her arm past shoulder height. The part of the ceiling directly above and before her stretched upward out of the way while she cleaned, humming a little tune to herself. Finding it a little rickety, as though broken, she asked, "Has this fan always been rickety, Lacy?" To which the reply was, "Yeah, pretty much. I don't think it's ever worked right, and dad's never gotten around to trying to fix it...or replacing the damn thing. What, you want to tear it down? Be my guest if you can patch up the hole it'll leave behind..." Missy chuckled cheerfully and announced her intention, "Tear it down? After I just cleaned it? Are you nuts? I'm gonna make it work!" She manipulated the fan with her hand, gently fiddling with it for show while she used her power to get it to work as it should. Once done, she shrunk down again and tugged on the chain. The fan whirred to life as though it had always worked perfectly.
With utter amazement, Lacy asked, "How did you do that? And how did you bend away the ceiling like that?"
Missy responded with a tweaking of a line she heard somewhere, saying, "I'm your friendly neighborhood goddess-girl! And if you watched the news...wait, you didn't watch the news at noon, did you?" She pretended to pout with, "And I thought they got my good side, too..." Resuming her grin, Missy turned on the TV and turned to the local news station, which was just starting to play her interview, for Lacy. "Wha? You're on TV?!" "Yep, now watch. I'm not gonna reverse time again for you to catch it." was Missy's response.
Once the interview story had concluded, the TV channel fast-forwarded to what was currently on at the time when Missy returned it to when it should be, joking, "We now return to your regularly scheduled programming already in progress." And then squealed with delight at what happened to be on. "Ooh! Attack of the 50 Foot Woman! And I didn't even have to put it on the air myself! Awesome!" Lacy asked curiously, "If you can do whatever you want...why can't you make all the chores instantly done? And why are you barefoot?" And Missy answered, "I prefer a more personal touch. Especially with these powers. It feels more like I'm doing something. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind roasting marshmallows with the Sun. As for being barefoot...I couldn't be bothered to grab my shoes before I left. And if even stepping on a cactus does nothing to the soles of my feet...what's the point in wearing them? Fashion aside."
