Chapter #9

At Their Rescuer's Campsite

Daniel and Isabelle, in silent agreement, nodded their heads and began walking after the hooded stranger. After a few moments they began to whisper amongst themselves being careful not to let the stranger overhear what they were saying.

"Daniel, are you sure we can trust this person?" Isabelle questioned.

"You know Isabelle," Daniel replied. "I'm not really sure, but this person saved us from that thing and maybe he or she can help us find the treasure."

"Yeah I guess so."

They once again fell silent and continued to walk that way until the stranger disappeared into a cave. Daniel and Isabelle just looked at each again before they followed into the cave. Once inside they were drenched in light from a fire. Their 'rescuer' had a campsite set up and it looked like there was room and enough supplies for them to stay there, atleast for a little while. All three of them sat down beside the fire. The stranger handed them something they could eat.

"Now, you need to rest for the night," came a voice from under the hood.

"Wait just a minute," both Daniel and Isabelle interjected.

"Are you going to tell us who you are or not?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah, I don't want to stay here with someone I don't know," Isabelle confirmed.

"Alright, if you must know," and the stranger lowered its hood to reveal...
