It was a daily event that Princess Isabelle would disappear and be found later on in the company of the stable boy, Daniel. Her parents, King Edward and Queen Jasmine, were beginning to worry. "She is a royal princess and she is always off galavanting with the boy."
"First off Edward, she is a teenager, and she is a wild spirit who will not be contained. And second, Daniel is near the age of manhood and he is very responsible."
"Now Jasmine, I know you are fond of the boy, but the point is that she is almost of marrying age and we need to find her a suitor. We need to get her to attend balls and dinners."
"I know, I know, but she is still our daughter and we should atleast try and think about what she wants. But you are right. We'll have to sit her down and explain all this to her. She's a reasonable young lady and she'll understand.

Meanwhile, unbeknowst to the King and Queen, Isabelle was standing on the otherside of the door and had heard everything. She was not happy, she ran straight up to her room and did not emerge for hours. When she finally did she ran straight to Daniel.
"Isabelle, whats wrong?" he asked her dropping what he was doing looking extremely concerned for her.
"It's nothing," she lied as she wiped the tears off her face. "But look, I found this book about this treasure see. Supposedly, there is a lot of gold and not only that but somethings of the gods. There are things like a holy sword and armor, a magic mirror, fruit of the gods, and so much more. Come on let's go, let's go and find it. I'm already packed."
He was dumbstruck. She wanted to go on this dangerous and probably deadly quest for some mythical treasure. "But you can't, your parents would never let you go."
"I don't need their permission to do this. I'm going whether they want me to or not. They don't even have to know about it."
"But you're just one person, you're a princess, how do you expect to get there and back."
"Well, I was hoping you would come with me. Help me out."
"I can't Isabelle. It's one thing to let you ride horses and to disobey your parents around here, but that's too far, that's where I draw the line."
"And I thought you wanted to be a knight."
"I do, but..."
"No buts. No knight would let a princess go off on such a dangerous quest alone. And if we pull this off they'll have no choice but to make you a knight, and I can finally get some freedom. Now are you coming or not."
"Just give me a few minutes to pack."
By the late afternoon they were heading off on their quest. They had packed up the few things they would need and left without saying goodbye to anyone.
