"Please sir that locket does not belong to you or to me. I only picked up the locket because I knew one of the girls had dropped it. I was going to find out who owned it and give the locket back."
Mr.Trystell smiled warmly at Dorothea. "You my dear have a very unselfish heart." he said
He stood up, and walked over to Dorothea and gave the locket to her. "Make sure this locket does get back to it's rightful owner."
Dorothea smiled at the older man. "Thank you sir." she said and left the back room.
Noah walked out of the room after she did and as she walked down the corridor he came up behind her and whispered in her ear,"You maybe on my father's good side Dorothea, but don't ever forget you are still an orphan, a penniless nothing."
She turned around and scowled at him. "You Noah are the one who is nothing. I am not afraid of you."
This only made him madder. He grabbed Dorothea by the arm and drug to the front of the shop and threw her out the door into the wet streets of London.
"Your fired girl. Don't ever come back here again."
