Does the shadow get stopped by someone/something?

The shadow looks up and next door to the school yard is a hospital, it really gets it's excitement up because what better place to wreak havoc than in a hospital. he entered the hospital and was slinking by every room peering in to the opened doors. when a room at the end of the hall got his attention. There were many people standing in the hall praying for the person who was sick.
The shadow sneaked by the praying people and went inside of the room where he saw a young woman lying in bed. She was unconscious and clearly at death's door.
he decided this would be the perfect opportunity for him to take on a human form by inhabiting her body and causing her to wake up being a pure devil. mean to everyone and non caring. all he had to do was to scare her soul from her body long enough for him to take her place...
