Ayeka strolled down the hall, inspecting her newfound shrink device. She wasn't entirely sure where she was headed, but she was spared the decision when she ran into her sister, Sasami.
"Whatcha got there, sis?" Sasami asked, in her typical cheerful manner.
"Ah, just something I borrowed from Washu." Ayeka replied, contriving to hide the device from Sasami's sight.
"What does it do? It looks like a gun." Sasami said, clearly curious about the device.
"Err, nothing, it's for, um, watering plants."
"Really? Let me see it?"
"No, that's not necessary."
"Oh, come on sis, I wanna see it." Sasami grabbed at the device, causing Ayeka to attempt to hold it above her head, away from Sasami's grasp. Before she could do that, however, the device emitted a beam of light that grazed Ayeka's shoulder. She didn't notice, and held the contraption above her head, scolding Sasami for her rudeness.
"Ayeka!" Sasami whined, grasping at the apparatus in Ayeka's hands.
As Ayeka replied to Sasami's pleads, a curious change began to come over her. She was slowly getting shorter, the arm holding the shrink gun was descending closer to Sasami's reach. Ayeka didn't notice these changes until she found that Sasami's grabs were getting strangely close to their mark. She stopped admonishing Sasami to look down at herself. Her kimono was now fairly baggy on her, and seemed to be growing by the moment.
"Oh no!" Ayeka gasped. She momentarily forgot about the situation, which allowed Sasami to snatch the shrink device away from her. Ayeka shouted and lunged after Sasami, but tripped on her kimono, which had engulfed her shrinking feet.
Sasami watched as Ayeka laid on the floor, seeming to slowly melt within the frame of her kimono.
After a moment, Ayeka stood up. Her kimono was now much too large for her, covering her hands in its lengthy sleeves, and one of her shoulders was visible through its collar. She turned to Sasami, and was surprised to find that she had to look up into her little sister's eyes.
Sasami looked at her miniaturized sister, then looked at the gunlike device in her hand.
