Just then her older brother Joseph enters the kitchen.

"What's up, Hil," he announced groggily, wiping the yellow crust off his eyes.

"Hi," answered Hilary, taking a bite out of the Hot Pocket. "Nothing much as usual, though I plan to gain a few more pounds today."

Joseph rolled his eyes. "Still trying to break that dumb record of being the heaviest person on earth?"

Hilary's dream was to weigh over 800 pounds, which would become the highest weight record in the Book of World Records.

She had been trying ever since she was a little girl.

Talk about committed.
