Chapter #5

Wishing For Something Random!

    by: Theday Author IconMail Icon
You walk out of the cool mall air and into the humid hot summer sun and wonder what you should wish for. You know you want to make sure it works so you check the bottle and see it says:'Pour a little into half a glass of water, wait until dissolved and swallow full contents.'
You realize you don't have any water and look around the entrance of the mall and to your luck and surprise there's a company giving out some samples of its new Spring Water.
"Perfect." you say to yourself and waltz over and ask for a cup.
They hand you a small paper cup with ice cold water in it. You say your thank yous and walk away from the booth. You open up the Wishing Powder bottle carefully and sprinkle a bit of powder in. You use your finger to stir and the once clear water becomes a light green colour. You swallow the contents, close your eyes and say," I wish.... umm... I had a million jelly beans."
You open your eyes to see nothing but the parking lot in front of you.
"Well that kinda suc..." you state but feel something bounce off your head and land on the ground. You bend down to see a small red object. You pick it up and realize that it's a jellybean. You nervously look over your should and too the sky to see a million jelly beans are falling from the sky!
You jump out of the way just as the candies hit the ground and spread everywhere. Onlookers are confused by what they see and look skyward to see no plane or helicopter. A couple of kids come running over while their parents try to hold them back and keep them from eating candy that hit the ground.
"Ten second rule!" one of the boys states and his mother grabs him by the ear.
"I guess it really does work," you say quietly to yourself holding the bottle up.

Now what?

You have the following choices:

1. Go home? or

2. Make another wish?
