You’re really eager to try out the Wishing Powder, so you head back into the mall’s food court. You know a couple of the girls who work at the fries place, and you figure at least one of them will be on, and will give you some water - and if you’re lucky, another “sampler” of their new crispy fries.
You’re in luck - Lori’s on the counter. She was your partner on an English project last year, and she’s really nice - glossy black hair, blue eyes, great laugh - and you’ve wanted to ask her out, but she only seems to go out with big guys - her current boyfriend is an offensive lineman on the school football team, and before that, she was dating the heavyweight captain of the school wrestling team.
“Hey Lori, I’m thirsty, I couldn’t get a cup of water?”
“Sure!” replies Lori, as she fills a cup. “You won’t want to try a sample of our new crispy fries?”
“Sure,” you reply.
As Lori fills the small fries cup she thinks to herself, ‘He’s a nice guy. It’s too bad he hasn’t grown as big as his brother - it might be fun to go out with him.’ She hands you the fries and the water and automatically says, “Have a nice day!”
“Thanks, Lori,” you reply, and head off to a table.
You drink half the water as you eat the fries, then you pull out the bottle of Wishing Powder. Tipping a little bit into the water, you wonder what to wish for first. You’re in the mall, so dramatic change won’t seem like a good idea, but a small change would make a good test. You spent your last $30 on the powder, so maybe some money would be a good idea - if it doesn’t work, you don’t lose anything. A bigger appetite, so you could eat more and start to put on some weight, would be good. Snazzy new cargos and a really sweet shirt would be good too. But you really want to try being bigger, like your Dad and brother. What to choose?
