Emma came home from her very first day of highschool. She was freshman, she was absoultely new to the school.
But the worst part was that her best friend, Daniella wasn't in any of her classes. They didn't even have lunch together. It was terrible.
"Make new friends," her mom would say, "Quit bein' shy, Emma, you gotta learn that."
For years, she had been know as the "quiet" kid. The "mouse" of the school. She was shy. She didn't care if she talked to anybody, she just wanted to talk to her friends. And there was nothing to say. There was definately nothing to say. All of this was on Emma's mind when she realized she was the only one home in the house.
