The one to the left was bare with no sheets, no pillow, and no blanket. To the right, there was a large, fat boy with a scowl on his face. Matt knew in an instant that this heavy nasty was a bully - maybe THE bully - in the school. He gulped, mentally preparing for the all razing and fat jokes he's suffered from bullies in his old school, when the mean-tempered pile of lard spoke.
"So, skinny, where did you come from? Don't your mother feed you? You're nothing but skin and bones!" the boy said, puffing out his own massive gut and pushing it up against Matt. He reached out with one massive, padded hand and squeezed Matt's shoulder painfully hard. "No fat or muscle! Boy have you got some growin' to do. You don't need no bed yet - you gotta spend a few weeks in the caf, eating! Get you up to a decent size, so's we can look at you without barfing!" The fat boy gave Matt one last hard shove with his belly, causing Matt to fall over onto the floor. "You're so skinny, maybe we should just lock you into your room and toss in food until you're fat enough to be let out!" the bully continued. He stalked over to the door, fat gut bouncing with every step, and continued. "Yeah, that's the ticket. We'll just lock you in here, toss you food 'til you're big enough to let out!" He slams the door behind him, and Matt hears a click like a lock.
Skinny! Matt's brain screams at him, as he picks himself off the floor. That pile of lard called me skinny, he thought, almost happy at the idea. He looks around and sees that the missing sheets and pillow are just dumped on the other bed in the room, which is otherwise clean. There's a rattle at the door, then the sound of a key in a lock, and another boy comes in. He smiles and says, "You must be Matt. I'm Sunny. I hear you had a run-in with Brian. He's all mouth and no action, don't worry about him." While Sunny speaks, Matt looks him up and down. He's a bit taller than Matt and...
