“Aw, shit,” says Percy, as the red “out of service” light winked on as he turns his elevator key. “It did this all the time last year - they were supposed to fix it over the summer. Guess we’ll use the stairs.” Percy turns and waddled into a room, emerging a moment later with a big bar of chocolate. “Getting this big bod down the stairs takes a lot of energy, I’m going to have a snack first,” he says to Matt, his mouth full of chocolate. “Take a piece.”
“Thanks!” says Matt. The chocolate was rich and milky. “Who are the fat guys in music, besides Big Pun?”
“There’s Fat Joe, and Notorious BIG, and Heavy D,” says Percy, as he begins to shift his tonnage towards the stairs. “Some people think the Fat Boys started it, but there guys before them too. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys was pretty big, and got really fat later.”
“Was Big Pun always fat?” asks Matt
“No, he grew a lot after he made it. He was only 200 pounds when his first album came out, can you believe it? He was heavy into boxing and stuff. But once he got money he went fat - he said that he ‘ate until he couldn’t see his feet.’ He hit 700 pounds when he was 28!”
“Did being so fat kill him?”
“No, being fat don’t kill anybody. He already had a weak heart, and he did a lot of alcohol and drugs and binging on the road touring. That’s what killed him.”
“Do you rap like him?” asks Matt, changing the subject back to music.
“Oh yeah. I call myself ‘Fat P’ for my album. I sound a bit like Big Pun, but I also do stuff like that English crooner, Rik Waller. He’s fairly fat too - about 300 pounds,” Percy adds.
“Well, guess we’d better go down,” Percy continues, as they come to the stairway. He takes one last longing look back at the elevator. The “out of service” light is still glowing. “I’ll go first. You’re so much smaller than me, if I fell on you, you’d get hurt,” Percy says.
As he swings one fat leg down on to the first step, shudders from the motion travelled up Percy’s fat leg and through his fat butt. From the back, Matt can see how Percy’s fat calves and thighs and butt fill out his uniform pants. Every time Percy moves, the seams in his pants strain. His bottom half would be most impressive, except that it’s eclipsed - literally - by the gigantic gut hanging above it. The shudders from Percy’s feet hitting the stairs travel up his legs and make his ample love handles vibrate, though their main motion echoed the vast swing of Percy’s gut from side to side. Matt can see why Percy doesn’t like taking the stairs - it takes phenomenal muscles and balance to keep all that flab in motion, and upright.
Watching Percy walking down the stairs mesmerised Matt, and as he stepped down he found himself daydreaming about what it would be like to be as big as Percy. His daydream was interrupted on the second floor landing when...
