No, you definitely can not take the loneliness. The whole reason you came along was to be close to your friends. Being afraid was never part of the plan. You swallow your fears, shove aside your doubts, and with your chest puffed out you leave the warming fire behind. "See, this isn't so hard" you muse to yourself As you step of into the shadows.
In the distance, another crack of lightning illuminates the dark sky. Thunder booms ominously.
Slowly you proceed down unlit tunnels, stumbling about in the darkened caverns. It feels almost like you've stepped into the depths of some creature that's fallen asleep with you, a mere tasty morsel locked away in it's shadowy form. No longer puffed out far in front of you, your chest rises and falls with nervous breaths. Things are getting scary again, and you start to think that this was a very bad idea. You could swear you hear breathing behind you....
And that's because you do! your ears pick up the distant, heavy breathing of something big. It's not immediately behind you, but instead sounds to be back in the cavern where you started the fire. It's worked it's way in between you and your only possibly chance of escape! Your knees begin to tremble, as you conjure up images of a giant carnivorous beast that's stalking you, hoping for a bite sized hyena snack... This can't be good.
