This choice: Giving a Tiny's Perspective to Potential Homeowners • Go Back... Before you had even a minute to collect your thoughts, your older cousin approached you once more. And from the look she was giving you, you felt no small amount of trepidation, as her expression was rather intense. And yet, there was almost a hint of reservation in her eyes, and if you didn't know any better, you had a feeling Inez was about to ask you for a favor.
"I'd like you to go into work with me today, Allegra." Inez announced, in her typically blunt style. "I could use your help."
"Oh, really?" You asked, genuinely surprised. Inez didn't often need your help, unless by 'help' she meant 'surprise strength training', and you found yourself crushed or molded into some sort of object in another of her endless and merciless tests. "I'd be happy to help, Inez."
Your cousin exhaled. "Good. That'll make this easier."
"Easier how?"
Inez raised an eyebrow. "Well, it's not like I was going to accept 'no' as an answer, I just would have preferred this outcome of taking you with me willingly instead of having to chastise you for your inability to roll with the punches and inevitably squish you down my shirt, or some such." Inez shrugged. "Thanks for making this easy, and demonstrating some good initiative."
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes. "Glad I make you proud, coach."
Inez's lips almost curved into an amused smirk. "You'll thank me for training you one day, Allegra. It's extremely apparent how beneficial my work with you has been for everyone." She cracked her knuckles, and lowered herself ever-so-slightly closer to you. "Anyway, hop on. I don't want to be late."
Breaking into a sprint, you leapt for your cousin's arm and scrambled up onto her shoulder (earning yourself a faint nod of approval of your athletic ability). Inez then stood to her full height, called out a farewell to Sloane and Shaye, and headed back outside to her car. Once inside, she sat down and buckled up, then plugged in her GPS coordinates to some sort of place called 'Autumn Heights'. The name tickled something in the back of your brain...
"What's going on today, Inez?" You asked, while also borrowing a strand of your cousin's hair to secure yourself on her shoulder.
"You know how I'm the most tenured agent at Splendid Real Estate?" She began, mentioning the name of the real estate agency she worked for. "That means I handle the clients in the higher tax brackets, but that also means more stress and pressure for me. And that goes double when...I'm a little out of my element."
"What's different about today's client?"
Inez sighed. "It'll be the first client in a very long time who has a tiny child. And my bosses are giving me extra scrutiny for this client because...I didn't handle the previous client with a tiny child very well last time." Inez huffed, indignantly. "Which is ridiculous, if you ask me. I squished him under my heel right when the tour started, and scraped him off on the floor mat when we ended. It was less than two hours, and he should've gotten some great endurance workout from it! And...the pervert had been looking up my skirt anyway, I'm positive. But, the parents didn't agree, and it cost me the sale."
"That's...rough?" You said, trying to be sympathetic while also not wanting to indulge your older cousin's constantly rough and mean treatment of tinies, all under the misguided intention of 'making them stronger'.
Your kindness backfired, as Inez smiled. "I knew you'd understand, Allegra. Maybe my lessons really are paying off? Anyway, I can't afford to lose this client too. So I was hoping having you around would lend an extra perspective to our discussions. The client has informed me that her tiny daughter is quite withdrawn and shy, so if you can both make her feel comfortable and try to get her input on the houses I'll be touring with her today, I'd be very grateful."
"Uh, sure, Inez. I can do that. No problem."
"Great to...hear..." Your cousin began, only to trail off. A strange look flashed in her eyes. "Oh wait, this is Autumn Heights..." She took her eyes off the road for a second to stare at you, before ultimately shrugging. "Eh, you'll be fine. We'll consider it a day-long training session. Stay on your toes, little cousin."
"Wait, why? Inez, why?" You demanded, but your cousin had stopped talking, and the rest of the drive passed in silence.
The two of you reached Autumn Heights twenty minutes later, and you couldn't help but gasp as Inez's car got flagged in through the high-security entrance gates into the massive, sprawling, and extremely gorgeous (and pricy) gated community that was Autumn Heights.
It was beautiful, and almost overwhelmingly pristine and perfect-looking. The streets were utterly clean, the sidewalks were wide, flat, and trash-free. The grass was trimmed to perfection. The houses were huge, elaborate, and looked lovely. Trees were everywhere, providing plentiful shade. A little stream ran through the whole place, and you spotted no less than three parks, two playgrounds, and even a quite-large community pool. There was also a community gym and meeting hall for events, and also an outdoor stage for music and theater productions. It was a lovely place...
...but you also felt weird. The name 'Autumn Heights' kept dancing in your mind, and you couldn't shake that something was seriously off about the seemingly-amazing community.
Your alarm really launched into overdrive as Inez parked her car and got out, and both of you were immediately greeted by just about the last person you'd ever want to see on a daily basis: Colleen Connors.
The CTC middle-manager who had been plaguing Small Stature, Big Heart for the past long while was standing before you in tight white slacks that looked painted-on to her gargantuan booty and thighs, and a blouse strained to breaking against her titanic tits. Her auburn hair was down for once, framing her pretty face, and the sun hit her golden-brown skin just right. She was beautiful, you couldn't deny, but you felt no shred of attraction to her knowing how monstrous she was behind her façade.
"Ms. Estrada, lovely to see you again!" Colleen grinned at your cousin, but her smile only widened as she spotted you. "And...is that Allegra? Why, darling, it's incredible to see you today!"
"Nice to see you too." You muttered, not wanting to make things awkward by being confrontational.
"You're probably confused why I'm here, aren't you?" Colleen said, with a teasing smile. "I live here, actually, but I'm also on the HOA board for our lovely community. I'm tasked with the fun responsibility of...let's say, keeping the peace, here at Autumn Heights. When certain residents of ours, or more often non-residents, get themselves into messes, I keep everything nice and sorted. It helps that we've got an in-community CTC office, too!" Colleen smiled warmly, and pointed to a building right beside the meeting hall.
You shivered. "Are you sure you aren't just spreading your dangerous ideas to an innocent community?" You asked, in reference to Colleen's extreme (and dangerous and dehumanizing) views of tinies. Of course, if this place had a CTC office right in the community...was it really a good place to begin with?
Colleen laughed her beautiful, vaguely condescending laugh. "Oh, you're always so charming, Allegra! 'Dangerous ideas', that's a quaint way to put it. I'm just trying to help tinies like you embrace their true calling, dear. Our world was designed for tinies to serve and be of use, and I know head-strong tinies like you don't want to acknowledge that, but it's simply the way our world works. The sooner you embrace it and stop fighting, the sooner you'll be happy and fulfilled."
"Not a chance." You crossed your arms. "Us affected don't enjoy that at all."
"Oh, now don't go speaking for everyone, darling." Colleen chastised, yet somehow failed to recognize the hypocrisy in how she was doing just that. She turned to Inez. "You understand me, don't you, Ms. Estrada?"
"I think you make good points." Inez concurred. "Tinies not strong enough to maintain their own lives should just accept alternative arrangements. It can be really beneficial for both parties."
"Ah, a beautiful woman after my own heart." Colleen flirted, and you gaped at her in disbelief at her callous mental gymnastics to somehow justify her beliefs. "Anyway, I've taken up enough of your time. If you need me, I'll be around, and always willing to help out." She eyed you intently. "Especially if you'd like to make some certain changes, darling. CTC office is just over there!" She smiled brightly.
You snapped your jaw shut, Colleen Connors the only woman in existence to try even your infamously amazing patience. Instead, you just silently fumed as Colleen laughed again, and then sauntered off with an exaggerated sway of her hips. You have the following choice: 1. Continue |
