The horse that kidnapped you looks much different from the average horse. While most equines were muscular and had a straight posture, this one was chubby and hunched over. He's wearing a simple shirt covered in sweat from what, to him, must have been a long jog home. He's also wearing a pair of sweatpants that are currently living up to their name.
You squeak in terror as the dorky horse plants his two hands on either side of you, panting in exhaustion as he leans down to get a better look. The smell of his BO hits you like a truck, sending you onto your butt.
"H-Holy shit," He says with a snort. "It really worked! You're so small. You look like one of my figurines."
You want to believe that what you're seeing is just a bad dream spurred on by too much alcohol, but you feel horribly sober right now. The stench of his breath is too intense for you to imagine it, either.
"W-What did you do?!" You stammer.
"I shrunk you down! Just had to slip something in your drink and it worked like a charm! I was so worried you would notice, but you were too drunk~." He snorts again, causing you to wince in disgust. "And now? We're going to play a little game."
"A...game?"
"Yeah! You know role-play, right? I always wanted to play one, but it's not fun when the players can just get up and leave."
He takes out a box filled with figurines for a tabletop game. He pulls out a figurine of a cute fox mage-
-and slams his fist down on it, shattering it into a bunch of pieces. He pries free the robe, staff, and hat, and places them in front of you.
"If you don't want to find out what that felt like," The horse says with a stern glare. "Then you'll put those on."
The horse was a dork. If you were a normal size, you don't think you'd have a problem outrunning him. Heck, you could probably beat him in a fight.
But that was at normal size. You're as big as a mouse, now. You probably couldn't even get off the table without his help. He might as well be a god at your size.
Reluctantly, you put the robes and hat on, as well as the plastic staff. It's a small consolation, but you're happy not to be naked, at least.
"Ohhhh, you look so cute! An innocent, pure little novice mage who doesn't know what he's gotten himself into. So unprepared for this cruel, cruel world. We'll just use the basic character sheet for now~."
He pulls out a few modules from the box. They're covered in dust.
"P-Please. You can let me go. I-I won't tell anyone-"
"I'll let you go if you win! If you don't...well, I guess it depends on how you lose~."
He pulls out a few tiny booklets from the box, completely ignoring your pleas for mercy.
"Your first mission is a simple quest. They're usually built for more players, but I'm sure I'll be able to tweak the rules a bit to give you a fighting chance. As a generous DM, I'll even let you pick~."
You look down at the sheets before you with a shudder. None of these beasts look easy to beat, and there's no way you're going to be able to convince him. If you want any chance to get out of this room, you'll have to play along...
After some deliberation, you pick the one titled...
