1000 people, men, women and children, under the leadership of the 22 year old scout cheif Nathalie, small, fast and nimbel, and the 23 year old guard captain Michael, big, strong and skilled with a blade. That was how we were as we abondoned the protection of our own god, Entropicus, a god of randomness and confusion. Every day there was unpredictable, noone understood what was expected to them and Entropicus would change the rules for his protection at the drop of a hat, and the city we were forced to construct under his guidance was barely liveable or productive, we had finally had enough, the price for his protection was too high.
We have wandered for only a week and already our numbers have dwindled from our initial thousand to slightly less than 800. We needed to find a new gods tempel fast, before the wildlands swallowed us all up. That was when one of our scouts yelled, "There's a tempel here! but i looks abandoned!"
Hope sprang forward in all of us and we marched under out scouts direction before encountering a massive tempel, probably serving a mighty god back in the day, no barrier was up around here, but if a god still resided in there, this may be the hope we were waiting for.
We parked out wagons and carts in the large plaza outside the temple, a small group entered to see if any god still resided here, in the middel of the main hall was a statue, badly broken enough, that nothing could be gauged of the god once worshipped here.
"Mighty god of this tempel! Do you still reside here?! If you do, arise from your slumber, pilgrims have come in seach of you!" one of the people called out in front of the broken statue. Mere moments later, the broken statue lit up and the shape of a giant creature arose from it's broken form.
it spoke... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
