In the candlelight of one of the many family libraries in the Red Keep belonging to house Targaryen, the young prince Jacaerys “Velaryon” , son of the heir to the throne, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, was roaming the shelves looking for a new piece of history to study. Ever the eager student, Jacaerys has become the perfect image of a young heir to the iron throne, having shown qualities of a good king, along with his dedication to studying the Valyrian language and his family history. His mother was in a small council session with his grandfather, the King, leaving Jace to seek knowledge. At first, he was simply wandering around the shelves, letting his fingers drift over the ancient tomes, seeing the aged and cracked parchment looking bland and uninteresting. As Jace was about to leave and search for entertainment elsewhere, he saw one different colored scroll beneath a half burned candle. The scroll was strangely sealed with a black dragon sigil, unlike the common red dragon sigil of house Targaryen. This alone was enough interest for the prince to unseal the scroll, and the chaos to come with.
The scroll was in what appeared to be ancient Valyrian, making it hard for Jace to understand, as he attempted to sound out the first line of the scroll out loud. Unfortunately for Jace, his hours spent studying the language paid off, and he pronounced the words good enough for the magic to take effect. In a split second, Jace shrank to the size of 1 inch, along with his clothes, and the sword he carries. The powerful magic was instantaneous, and left Jace passed out on the floor for a couple hours.
Jace awoke, thinking he just had a nightmare about shrinking to the size of a bug, when he noticed he was standing in front of a book shelf taller than the Red Keep. Being a smart lad, he quickly realized it was no dream, and he was now the size of an ant, if not smaller, and needed to find a way to get that scroll, which he could not see. It must have ended up on a shelf when he shrank, and he has no way of being able to get it back without help. As he thought about his options, the heavy library door creaked open. Startled, Jace quickly ran to the base of the self, and hid in the nook tiny nook between the wooden shelf and the marble floor. Jace’s world began to shake as an earthquake took place. Jace can’t remember the last tine an earthquake hit king’s landing, but the smart boy saw the books standing still.
This was not an earthquake, someone was walking to him, he thought, and was quickly proved right as a pale, milky white foot was spotted. The women in his family had a tendency to walk barefoot around the Red Keep, as Targaryen’s were closer to god’s than men, it was an honor for the servants to clean the floor were a Targaryen woman’s soles blessed it (only the most devout Targaryen loyalist and servants of the red keep thought this way.) Moving impossibly fast, the pale sole soared overhead, replacing the ceiling with a living roof of flesh, dirty, with a fresh coat of sweat covering the soles. The foot landed near him, scaring the prince. It seemed that one of his family members came to the library for a similar reason as he did, but in reality, his family went looking for him after he had been missing for a few hours. The massive toes of his family member wiggled in front of him as the owner of the toes came to a stop. Jace looked up, struggling to see which Targaryen woman was in front of him, and the woman was _______________.
