Stelle picked the phone. The message was from Herta. It was a bit reassuring the Trailblazer, even if Herta's way of thinking can be... special.
Herta:Welcome to the new mode, Stelle! Isn’t it great?
Stelle:Herta. What did you DO?
Herta:Oh, calm down. It’s just a new experiment I’ve been working on in the Simulated Universe, that's you who clicked on it. This mode lets you "inhabit" the bodies of people from your memories and fight using their skills and weapons.
Stelle:I’m in Firefly’s body! You know, the Stellaron Hunter? Why her?
Herta:I know. The system scanned your memories to find someone you’re familiar with who also happens to be a capable fighter. Firefly made the perfect choice, top-tier combatant and strong memories for the system to base on. Very efficient.
Stelle:Efficient?! How is this even part of the Simulated Universe?
Herta:Simple. I coded it that way. The Occurrence domains are all about unpredictability and adaptability, right? This adds a fun new layer to that concept. Plus, I had a little inspiration.
Stelle:Inspiration for what, exactly?
Herta:To attract the attention of some Aeons, obviously. They’re drawn to extraordinary and unusual displays of power and adaptability. This is the perfect bait, probably better than all we tested before
Stelle groaned aloud.
Stelle:Putting me in another body is a good idea to do so?
Herta:Don’t be so dramatic. You’re always doing wild things anyway. And think of it this way: you get to pilot Firefly’s mech!
Stelle:Her… mech?
Stelle remembered it, the SAM, right ?
Herta:Yes! The Fyrefly Type-IV Strategic Assault Mech. A masterpiece, really. With it, you should be able to obliterate any enemies in this domain. Destroying everything in your eyesight should be a piece of cake. Doesn’t that sound exciting?
Until this message, Stelle wasn't sure. But to be honest, it felt appealing to use Firefly's mech to destroy everything.
Stelle:Maybe. Anything else I should know?
Herta:Oh, stop whining. Just get moving. You’ll figure it out. Oh, wait, there is something I think you'll be glad to know.
