This choice: The Capital People inside Sonia's bowels... • Go Back...Chapter #4In the stomach of the Goddess by: Rokaido Sonia Softmore's digestive tract is the most populated sector of her body five years after the incredible event known as "The Great Exodus." The large amount of space available in her intestines presented a great opportunity for its inhabitants to continue to rapidly expand their domain.
The architecture of the Capital City was built with large families in mind for the millions of Microputians who would settle there. Their homes were massive with 1000 rooms and floors to ensure that every member of a family had a room of their own. Children's playgrounds, libraries, restaurants, workshops and many other family-friendly facilities were built for the city's populace to spend their leisure time in, with a fabulous view of a deep pink sky that served as a reminder to the citizens of the benevolent being who gifted her entire body to them.
Among the many jobs performed in the Capital, the most remarkable and difficult is that of the Collector. This demanding job takes place in the stomach and involves extracting pieces of food Sonia ingests daily. The food and materials are necessary for the various economic activities that take place inside her body. It is a tiring and risky job that requires a lot of attention and care since the workers are at risk of falling into the dangerous waters of the vast corrosive ocean of acid. The Microputians who perform this work use yellow flying vehicles to approach the food. These vehicles are small, leaving room for only two workers who control each of the claws on either side of the vehicle. They use these claws to break off chunks of the huge mountain of food and drop them into a hatch at the top of the vehicle. The vehicles were built to be highly resistant to stomach acid and for added safety, the workers wear special suits that protect them in case they fall into the corrosive waters. When this happens, the fallen worker sounds an alarm on their suit or vehicle that alerts the other workers to their plight. The other workers quickly fly to their position and save them. Because of the Microputians' commitment to the safety of their people, not a single life has been lost.
Every morning when the food of the goddess descends through the gigantic tunnel known as her oesophagus and falls to the surface in large chunks, thousands of these vehicles fly at once across the entire area as if they were a huge hive of bees. Once the tank of a vehicle is full, they will fly to a flying, tractor trailer and pour the food into it before resuming their task. This tractor trailer is gigantic to the Micros as it was built by and for the Lilliputians. Once the work period ends or the trailer becomes full, the tractor takes the collected food to the delivery sector, where the pieces of food are sorted into trucks. Thousands of these trucks deliver food to the different towns and cities of Sonia's body every day. The Lilliputians piloting these trucks became known as “the Benefactors” for the great benefit they provide to the millions of inhabitants residing within the body of the "Gentle Mother of All." The Collectors and Benefactors became highly influential and respected in their communities as they had the most important job in all of the body. The citizens was always well-fed because of their work and they were thankful for it. The sons of these workers looked up to their fathers and desired to become Collectors and Benefactors themselves, continuing their fathers' line of work. This led to entire Collector and Benefactor family dynasties being forged that would last for many generations.
.........................................................
Over the years, thousands of Collectors and Benefactors have faithfully fulfilled the important tasks they were entrusted to perform. Although countless stories and tales have emerged from all of them, perhaps only one is worth highlighting... the story of Ben, a young Microputian Collector who lived in Sonia's body and became an important and influential individual to her civilization.
Having gone unnoticed among the millions of Micros in the aquarium where he lived, his life gradually changed when he moved into the body of his Mother. Despite his gentle and quiet nature, he had had no luck getting intimate with girls of his race and his group of personal friends was very small while living in Sonia's aquarium.
Coming from a Prodigan adoption center, his life took a radical turn, along with billions of others when he witnessed the event known as “The Rising” in which for the first time they could see the divine blue eye of a Goddess in the sky and learned that they had been adopted by her and had become her little sons and daughters. It was as if they were reborn in a new life full of love and affection given by a benevolent and beautiful mother thousands and thousands of miles tall.
While he was living in the aquarium under the care of his Mother, Ben's life was quiet, though not fulfilling. He felt indifferent to others. He felt that something was missing in his life. Perhaps it was pleasure, recognition, love or wealth? However, that all changed when he decided to leave the aquarium, along with thousands of others and move into the divine and beautiful body of his Mother, becoming part of the millions of inhabitants who share the same "being." Not only physically, but mentally.
Ben was the one who discovered this mental union with Sonia. Thanks to him, thousands more have been able to communicate with their mother through a physic connection, a union beyond the ordinary.
When he arrived in his Mother's body, he was given a choice of a city to live and work in. Among the many idyllic location and incredible jobs he could have chosen, he chose the most difficult and risky, that of being a Collector. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
