Ich wachte schweißgebadet in meinem Bett im Wohnkomplex in Tokio auf, erkannte Ajay auf dem Stuhl vor meinem Bett sitzen.

Er legte einen Block und einen Kugelschreiber auf den Tisch und sagte: "Nummer 24, Linette."

Ich seufzte: "Ich schaffe es nicht."

Ajay jedoch widersprach: "Doch, du kannst es. Du brauchst nur mehr Zeit."

Mehr Zeit.

24 Albträume innerhalb von einer Woche.

Ich war psychisch schon fast so angeschlagen wie Nika.

Ich wusste, dass die echte Nika noch am Leben war.

Doch das half mir jetzt nicht weiter, ich musste meine Albträume unter Kontrolle bekommen und meine Tätigkeit wieder aufnehmen.

Als ich gehen wollte, hielt Ajay mich auf: "Linette, warte."

Ich drehte mich seufzend um. Er hielt mir die Hand hin: "Bitte versprich mir, dass du auf dich achtest."

Ich schlug ein und sagte: "Ich verspreche es."

Damit ging ich nach draußen.
