Things aren’t what they seem to be

You sit in the back of your mom’s car in silence, going over the events that lead up to this moment, about 6 months ago you felt like you were on top of the world, your school grades were perfect and you and your girlfriend were going strong. But 3 months later, everything started crumbling down.

You discovered that your girlfriend was cheating on you with the captain of the football team and after that you changed, you fell in love with goth culture, you started dressing in all black, smoking cigarettes and ignoring your parents. Because of this your school grades plummeted and your appetite disappeared. Just last night you once again refused to eat your mother’s famous meatloaf and you had brought home your 7th consecutive bad report card. This sent your mom over the edge, so she woke you up super early in the morning, threw some non goth clothes at you and gave you 3 orders. “Get dressed, get in the car and shut up”.

You tried to ask your mom where she was taking you, but all you got from her was “shut up, you’re already in enough trouble as it is, so unless you want your new mommy to be mad at you, I suggest you keep quiet”. This statement rattled you. Yet you took your mom’s words to heart and kept your mouth shut.

After a couple of hours of driving, your mom parks the car in a parking lot of what looks like a hospital or a mental institution, your mother grabs you by the wrist and walks you into a reception area, your mother walks you over to a chair, sits you down in it and says “stay right here and don’t move a muscle”. You see your mom talk with the receptionist and fill out a form with some information. As this is happening you see a couple of teenage girls in nurse outfits, one of them snickers at you and whispers something in the other girl’s ear, you then hear the other girl say “you’re right, he would be a great one, I hope I get assigned to him”, you ponder what the girls were saying as they walk away. About 5 minutes later you see 2 men walk towards you and stand in front of you, a minute later you see your mom walks towards you and says “ now I’m going to go home, and you are going to go with these nice men”. To your shock your mom says nothing else and leaves the building as one of the men say to you “come on kid, don’t make this harder than it has to be”. You look at them and say “I’m not going anywhere with anyone unless someone gives me some information about what this place is and what the hell is going on”. Suddenly the two men grab you under your arms and drag you down a hallway and as this is happening, one of them says “don’t worry, all will be revealed soon”.

The two men drag you into an empty room and as one of them holds you underneath your armpits, you see the other man grab a small syringe and fill it with a clear liquid, you try to fight but the man holding you has an iron grip, so there’s nothing stopping the other man from injecting the clear liquid into your neck, as the needle is removed from your neck you feel drowsy and as you begin to pass out, you see a woman walk in and say “is he out”? As one of the men nods, the woman responds “good, get a diaper on him and get him in a chair, I’ll grab a tv and an introduction video”. As the woman leaves the the room, you finally pass out.
