Who said you had to get OLDER on your Birthday

This Subscenario has Sub-Subscenarios, because I had two ideas, depending on why this happens.

1. Our Protagonist's Parents decided they shouldn't be 8 yet for one reason or another, and the rules say they have to go up or down so... 6 it is!

2. Our Protagonist isn't too keen on growing up, which led to them growing down instead, not that they knew this could happen. Though they probably aren't too torn up about being 6 again if they wanted it enough for it to happen.
