Sitting on the floor next to the Mia, Josh did his best to get along with her playing. "Do you want some pie now?" Mia asked Josh as she started to rub her eyes. After having some younger sisters and cousins, he knew what that meant. Being the oldest sibling he had to help out when his Dad up and left for the younger secretary. Leaving caused Josh to have to step up a little more and his Aunt Ashley would keep his younger cousins over at his home since she didn't usually have somebody to help her out and he knew when a toddler was starting to get sleepy.
"Mia, are tharting to get thleepy?" He asked as she started to shake her head. Seeing that she was already in her pajamas. "Come here and thet me help you intho your bed." She started to fight it, but soon the eyes started to become too heavy and ultimately agreed.
Mia came closer and held up her arms. "Sissy, help." She asked. Hoping to get this day over and get back to his life once more, Josh came over to lift her into the bed. Leaning over, Josh knew he could life a toddler into the bed, but when he went to lift her up, he found it kind of hard to lift her. "Me too heavy?" Mia asked with a sleepy voice as she continued to rub her eyes.
Remembering when Courtney was able to pick him up with little effort, he realized something. 'I think it must be something that Ms. Courtney did to me.' He thought to himself. "Waith here." Josh told Mia as he quickly made his way downstairs to find Courtney looking at the remote a little more closely. "You need tho be carethul with thath." He told her causing her to jump and dropping the remote onto the carpet. Glad to not to see the bright flash, Josh breathed a sigh of relief.
"You scared me." Courtney told him as she picked up the remote and placed it on the couch next to her. "Are you enjoying living the life of a little kid once more?" She asked looking over at her brother who was still wearing Megan's clothes to fit his larger body and he shook his head causing his hair to hit the sides of his face. The pink leggings he wore were no longer wet on the leg, but white T-shirt with the word 'Daddy's Little Princess' was scribbled on the chest covered up his crotch. Courtney was certainly grateful that she couldn't see her brother's groin. "What were you wanting?"
Motioning up stairs in Mia's room, Josh told her what he had come down there for. "I think Mia is ready for bed. The ith getting thleepy and rubbing her eyeth." Looking back at the clock, he noticed that its close to 8 PM. "Ith getting lathe thoo."
Following her brother's gaze, Courtney saw that the clock was reading 7:45. "Oh, crap." She exclaimed as she got up off of the couch. "Thanks." She told him as she motioned for him to follow her.
"Whath are you going tho do with the remothe?" Josh asked as he looked over at the couch to see it laying on the cushion.
Continuing her way backup to Mia's room, Courtney replied. "Nothing, it should be fine on the couch for right now." The two of them soon were at the top of the stairs. "I mean we're the only ones here and the Thompsons aren't expected to be here until after 11 tonight. So it should be safe on the couch for the time being." Looking into the room, she saw Mia laying on the floor with her favorite blanket asleep. Letting out a sigh she looked back over to her brother. "Did you try to put her to bed?"
"Yeth, buth she wath thoo heavy." He told her with an apologetic look on his face. "I'm thorry."
Seeing her brother this way, Courtney couldn't help but feel like she was actually watching Megan. Megan was always the one to try and help her out when watching her sister, but often found it hard to help since she was still small. "Its alright, how about you go get ready for a bath while I get squirt here in bed." He seemed about to say something, but stopped when Courtney put her hand up. Gently motioning over to the sleeping Mia on the floor. "Just do it and I will get you some clothes. After you get out, we can talk about getting you back to normal." Hearing this, Josh nodded his head and started to make his way over to the nearby bathroom. As he walked through the door, Courtney leaned over and picked up Mia. "Alright Munchkin, time for bed." She replied as started to get Mia into her bed.
