Chapter #6

First Date

    by: Morphology Author IconMail Icon
"Crap, I forgot." Kira started running her fingers through her now short hair, throwing them all for a loop with its suddenness. "I forgot that I have to go on a date tonight with Justin." Jenn looked over at her sister and couldn't believe that she was finally going on a date.

Jenn couldn't help but feel proud of her sister. "Oh? Wait this is your first date isn't it?" She asked teasingly and pressing for more answers. "Where are you guys going? Is he cute?" Too many questions seemed to be coming out of Jenn's mouth causing both Kira and Josh to feel as if it was too much. She stopped with the vicious questioning and had a little glimmer in her eye, something that Josh knew all too well and it wasn't going to be good. "How about Josh and I join you and we can have a double date?"

Groaning, Josh looked over at Kira and then over at Jenn. "Umm Jenny." Josh replied. "You know that if you don't get Kira and I back in our own lives, then I will be going on the date."

Jenn turned her head suddenly at hearing her name. "Wait, what did you call me?" She asked trying to confirm she heard it correctly.

Looking confused and not really understanding whats going on, Josh repeated what he had said. "Jenny?" Kira looked over at Jenn with a worried look on her face. "What? I can't call my girlfriend by her name?" Josh chuckled at the audacity of the two girls.

Kira was the first to break the silence. "Umm, Josh." She paused for a moment to look at both Josh and her sister. "I usually call Jenn that, you know Jenny. But right now, I kinda have to force myself to say Jenny to you. You really need to fix this."

"I know I know." Jenn repeated as she looked down at the book trying to figure out what went wrong. "I can try and turn you guys back by redoing the spell again, but I really don't know what will happen." Trying to think it out the best way that she can, Jenn started to fiddle with her hair and was twirling it around with the left hand.

The three of them heard Lynn's voice calling up to them from downstairs. "Kira, sweetie." She called out. "You might want to start getting ready so that I can drop you off. Do you want some help getting ready? I know how excited you were when you told me the other day."

Starting to feel a little freaked out by how quickly this was going, Josh looked over at Jenn and gave her a disapproving scowl. "Now, I think Jenny is going to help me get ready. Besides I think she owes me." Jenn held up her hands in defeat, knowing that she indeed owed him for what she was going to be putting him through. "Come on Jenny." Josh replied through his teeth trying his best not to yell at her. Grabbing her hand, he marveled at how much heavier she seemed to be now and didn't really want to press her on it further. "Lets go and get me ready. Kira do you mind waiting a moment so that we can see if we can talk this out?" Kira nodded her head and pulled out Josh's phone to take a look at what kind of games he had on it.
