"Wanna pick out a potion for me to drink?" you asked.
Amanda furrows her brow. "I thought you wanted me to drink a potion."
"Well, yeah, but uh--I dunno. It just feels weird making you drink something that's completely untested. I'd be kind of a crappy boyfriend if I did that."
"Such a gentleman," says Amanda, smiling. "Well, I won't make you drink the intellect decreasing potion. If you're making such a stupid decision already, I don't want to make you any dumber."
You laugh awkwardly. Amanda's voice had take on a strange tone. She seemed more aggressive than she normally was.
You look as Amanda grabs a potion off the shelf and hands it to you. "Well, bottoms up, right?"
You uncork the vial and drink its contents, not bothering to even look at the liquid you're swallowing. It has a chemical aftertaste, but isn't terrible otherwise.
You wait for the effects to take hold when suddenly--
Hold up. What was going on?
"What am I doing?" you ask.
"You were giving me a tour of your uncle's lab," said Amanda, "You said you wanted me to get a good look at it before you gave it to me. You said you didn't know what you'd even do with a place like this."
Memories click into place. Of course. You'd invited Amanda over because you knew she could use this place in ways that you never could. She was more creative than you, after all.
"Right," you say. You looked down at the bottle. "Why am I holding a bottle of Memory Erasure potion?"
"You were just looking at it," said Amanda. "It was empty when we got here, and you wondered who drank it."
"Makes sense, I guess," you say. There's droplets on the rim of the bottle; someone must have drunk it right before you got here. It didn't make sense, but then again, you could remember talking about this.
"So, babe," you say, "You've got a potion lab. What do you want to do with it?"
