Ah, middle school. The formative years in which children transition from children to tweens. I used to work with middle schoolers; I still get nightmares. Anyway, let’s pick our teacher.
Gary Simmons: Mr. Simmons teaches science/biology and is known to have a bit of a temper when students don’t pay attention. At home, Gary has a wife, Maribel, a son Gregory, and a daughter Clarissa. Maribel works at a law firm and sometimes compares her husband’s anger to a child throwing a tantrum. Gregory is a high school student on the tennis team and sometimes thinks his dad would prefer he play a more masculine sport. Clarissa is a shy kindergartener who has trouble making friends. Gregory is usually willing to play with Clarissa because Maribel is busy, and Gary feels silly when he plays with his daughter.
Cindy Brubraker: Cindy teaches English in middle school. Cindy isn’t close to her students and has never been married. However, she is close to her two nieces, Susan and Caroline. Susan is a 7th grader and is with her aunt a lot; she even sometimes goes to have lunch with Cindy. Caroline is eight-years-old and hyperactive. Cindy’s brother George is often away on business and resents that his children are closer to their aunt than him.
Jason Collins: Jason is a physical education instructor and loves his work. Jason’s life, however, revolves around his wife, Donna, and his adorable three-year-old, Natalie.
Connie Domingo: Connie teaches Spanish class and is known for letting her students enjoy the fun side of Spanish culture, some say at the sacrifice of education. Connie has a husband, Kevin, who works as a police officer but has no children of her own.
