He blacked out, his last memory the sound of the woman’s laughter ringing in his ears. When Dax woke up, he was back in the bar, sitting at the counter with a beer in front of him. He rubbed his temples, feeling disoriented. He couldn't remember how he got back to the bar, but he felt like he had been asleep for a long time.
As he looked around the bar, he noticed that everyone was acting strange. They were all looking at him with a mixture of amusement and confusion, as if they were watching him perform some kind of odd dance.
Dax tried to speak, but he couldn't seem to find the right words. Instead, he nodded and smiled, hoping that would be enough to satisfy the people around him.
Suddenly, someone shouted, "Let's do shots!" and everyone at the bar cheered. Dax felt a strange urge to comply, as if his body was being controlled by an outside force. He grabbed a shot glass and tossed it back, feeling the alcohol burn down his throat.
The night went on in this fashion, with people making requests of Dax, and Dax obliging without question. He would nod and smile, doing what was asked of him, even if it was completely out of character for him. He didn't understand why he was acting this way, but he couldn't seem to resist the urge.
The witch was watching from the other side of the room, a smirk on her face. She was pleased with the spell she had cast, watching as Dax fulfilled accidental requests like "be nicer" and "buy everyone a round". She knew that the spell would wear off eventually, but for now, she was enjoying the show.
As the night went on, Dax began to realize that something was wrong. He couldn't explain why he was acting this way, but he knew that it wasn't normal. He felt trapped, like a puppet on strings, being pulled this way and that.
When the bar finally closed and everyone started to leave, Dax stumbled outside, feeling dizzy and confused. He didn't remember much of the night, but he knew that he needed to find a way to break the spell. He didn't know who the witch was, or how to undo what she had done, but he was determined to find a way.
The witch followed close behind, keeping an eye on him.
