Octavia stared down at Job for a long moment, her face giving him absolutely 0 Clue as of what she was thinking until she finally sighed and spoke up. "I should probably see if my Dad knows how this whole "Soul owning" thing works"
"Y-you mean you don't?" Job questioned as the massive demon teenage picked him up...surprisingly gently considering as far as he could tell she was at best apathetic about his existence.
"I told you I've never had this kind of thing happen before, your the first idiot to summon me and sell me his soul" Octavia stood up, keeping a secure but not too rough grip on the demonic debtor as she walked down through the halls of the...absolutely endless seeming palace like home Job now realized he was in... He supposes that makes sense given the fact that Octavia was apparently the daughter of a prince of hell.
"S-so...do I bow when I see him or..."
"What? No, just...look I just need to ask him some questions. You don't speak unless he asks you a question or I tell you to, alright?"
"Bu-" As Job tried to speak he suddenly felt as if someone had firmly punched him in the stomach, a burning pain hitting him. As he stopped talking it...also stopped... Did Octavia do something to him?
No time to worry about that, Job just sits in silence as Octavia enters what...appears to be a dining room, where another birdlike demon sat at the table, pouring a bowl of cereal as she walked in...
"Good Morning my little Owlet!...What is that you have there?" Stolas was...much more jovial seeming that Job had expected a demon lord to be but at least that meant he wasn't immediately angry or hostile towards him, right?
"Dad, this is Job." Octavia casually placed the mouse-like sinner onto the table before continuing. "He's the idiot I told you about that summoned me a few months ago"
"Oh! He's around sooner then I expected him to be." Stolas leans in for a closer look. "Why doesn't he introduce himself?"
"I don't know I guess he's taking me telling him not to talk unless you ask him a question more seriously than I thought"
"Ah, I see." Stolas chuckles. "Job, did it start hurting to speak after Octavia told you not to?"
Job gulps and "Y-yeah"...No pain this time, thats...odd.
"Well then, the transfer of soul ownership must of gone perfectly!" Stolas smiles, turning back to Octavia. "He can't disobey you without getting hurt. Think of it like a shock collar for a dog, it will teach him obedience rather quickly"
Job would rather not think of it like that personally.
"Well, beyond that the main thing to look out for is that if he dies, like any other sinner, he'll just come back in a few moments, usually somewhere near you but given their size" He leans down, grinning at Job "I'd wager he'll usually end up in a pocket. Must not of been much of a sinner to only be this big though..."
"...Right. Anything I'll need to...worry about beyond that?"
"Hmm...nothing comes to mind."
"Great, thanks dad..."
"Though I would like to point out it be especially cruel to make someone unable to talk for a prolonged period without feeling pain dear"
"Right, sorry." She picked up Job again. "Right, feel free to speak whenever you like now"
"...thanks." Sarcasm was thick in Job's voice.
"Don't give me that I had no idea thats how it worked." She shrugs "Now then..."
