Joker and Futaba were up one morning at Leblanc, staring at a bag full of orange powder they had gotten the other day. It was given to them by Jose, who claimed that he managed to convert some of Mementos' vines into this powder. He also claimed that this powder was good for vitality.
Well, more specifically, he claimed, "The vines not only hold together Mementos but also provide nutrients. If the vines can provide life for Mementos, then it can also do that for you." Of course, none of the Phantom Thieves knew what the vines of Mementos were, nor didn't they know it was safe for human consumption. After all, why did the vines turn into an orange powder? This was why Joker and Futaba met up this morning.
"So, what did you find out about the vines of Mementos?" Joker asked.
"Zilch, nada, nothing. I tried scanning for things that are similar to the powder, but I didn't get any results. Ether Jose changed the vine to make it a powder, or these vines are out of our reach." Well, looks like that investigation didn't go anywhere. Guess the best thing to do was to hang on to it until they learned more about it. Perhaps Tae could tell them more about it.
That train of thought, however, was interrupted when they heard a yelp and barking outside. That sounded like Morgana! The two quickly ran out of the cafe. A minute later, Sojiro came out to see what the commotion was, only to find the cafe empty. The older man just shrugged it off as none of his business. Anyway, he probably should prepare for the lunch rush, not to mention he was getting a little hungry himself. To kill two birds with one stone, Sojiro decided to prepare the curry, not knowing the curry powder he picked up was the bag of curry powder he picked up was actually the powdered Mementos vines that Joker and Futaba left behind.

Sometime later, Futaba, Joker, and Morgana returned to Leblanc, exhausted after recusing Morgana from that pack of dogs. Man, what a pain. Anyway, they were talking about that powder... wait a minute, where was it? They looked around a bit before Futaba gasped as she smelt the scent of curry and put two and two together. She quickly ran into the kitchen with the other two following her. There, they saw Sojiro eating next to the opened bag from Mementos.
"Futaba, is something wrong?" Sojiro asked, not aware of what he had just done.
"S-Sojiro, you didn't... you didn't use that bag to make curry, did you?! That bag was from Mementos!" Sojiro's face paled when he heard what Futaba had just said. He quickly spit out what he had in his mouth into the sink, but he knew it was too late. He had already eaten the majority of his plate.
"H-hoo boy..."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
