Wedgewood Business Solutions was a very vague name for a company, but your parents were both insistent you apply there. Looking into the company further, you couldn’t find any hints about what they did, but their website said they had a very relaxed atmosphere and, interestingly, a mostly female staff.
Some of the meathead boys at school would scoff at the idea, but not you, and so you applied and were accepted almost immediately!
Walking into the front lobby, you found the receptionist playing some computer game, only half paying attention to her job. Was this what the website meant by a casual atmosphere?
“Excuse me,” you called, getting her attention. “My name’s [Anon], and I’m here for my new job.”
As the secretary looked you over, you did the same. Her blonde hair was done up in a very professional bun, and while her white button-up blouse and black rimmed glasses seemed very professional, her cartoon hoodie and eyebrow piercing were very much not. Unbeknownst to you, she had gotten a good look at your waistband!
“Nice to meet you, [Anon], my name’s Alice,” she said kindly, shaking your hand. “Give me a moment and I’ll check where you need to go.” You smiled and prepared to take a seat, before Alice stopped you. “One more thing, [Anon]…”
