"Well, let's look at it this way, the Statute of Limitations for the known crimes your gang committed during the time of the Copper Vault job have run out," said Carmelita. "Not many outside of us and Interpol know about the La Paradox stuff, and even then, it could be argued that your gang members were consultants in an art forgery scheme and helped prove his guilt, among other things."
"So, what are you saying, exactly?" Sly asked.
"We could see about making the gang Criminal Consultants for Interpol," said Carmelita. "It would be useful for taking down dangerous groups."
"Might be useful," said Sly. "Still, what about my little, um, itch? Even without La Paradox, and his scheme, I probably would have broken into the museum anyways."
Carmelita chuckled. "Security Consultant could be the gang's daily bread," she said. "Folks would pay you to break into their place, just to see how good their security is - only leave the goods on a table or something, and not smash up the place."
"That might be acceptable," said Sly. "So, is there anything else that needs to be done?"
A smile came upon Carmelita's face. "Oh, there's plenty to be done."
