Also the overly convoluted schemes and backstabbing of Danzo, Orochimaru and Madara. (No Kaguya nonsense in this timeline)
Shocked by the horrors he has seen, Sasuke starts to understand that following the path of hate and vengeance will lead to nothing but pain and misery, for both himself and those he has come to care about.
Through learning this truth, Sasuke decides that from that day onward he will now walk the path of a true Avenger. A path were one fights not for revenge, but for justice. A path were one obtains power not through hate, but determination.
