One of the first things you discover about Poppi is that she’s a voracious eater. She easily eats her weight in fried shrimp, including the tails. When she notices you discarding the tails of your own fried shrimp, she asks if all “big people” abstain from eating shrimp tails. When you tell her they do, she shrugs her shoulders, tells you “That’s weird,” and continues eating.
Poppi is a messy eater, but she is continually cleaning herself, if not her eating area. She keeps a running monologue going on while she is eating. She lets you know you’re the first big person she’s ever dated, and you’re much better date than guys her own size because they never let anyone else get a word in edgewise.
The only time she stops talking is when she walks over to your hand. She’s commenting on how much lighter your skin is to hers while reaching out to touch your hand.
