Kala's face goes from smiling to perplexed. But you can't really blame her. She has a small hole in the center of her forehead, courtesy of the silver bullet fired from the custom revolver strapped to your firearm.

Kala drops dead on the floor. Chaos erupts in the restaurant. You calmly make your exit from the restaurant, never looking back.

Here's the thing. Kala's real name isn't Kala, it's Angelina. And she may look shy and unassuming, but she's responsible for at least twenty-three deaths among the four major vampire clans on the East Coast, before she disappeared without a trace.

Kala/Angelina was known to have sexual appetites where 'pure' humans were concerned, so you started hitting the online monster-human dating sites on the West Coast. You remember how ecstatic you were when you found her profile. She had changed her appearance enough to fool most people, but not you. You've got the second sight, which is why you're the best assassin for hire on the planet.

Or were the best assassin. After you collected all the bounties on Kala/Angelina's head, you bought your own tropical island and retired. You can't date any monster girls, but that's okay. You get all the human girls you want. Besides, you've had enough monster girls to last you a life time.
