Tails and Auto first decided to test an older model of his Miles Electric, he had no use for it and was planning to soon scrap it’s parts for other projects, so if it worked just like Auto he knew how all machines would be effected if not he could still scrap it and could assume any machine with a mind only would be reprogrammed by the rat into an identical mental copy of him…
