Ronald Mallard had all his life been pretty damn average. Ronny was a, B student in community college, interested in normal male activities like video games and carpentry, and, with a teacher for a mother and a construction for worker, came from a firmly middle class background. Ronald thought his life was going to be rather boring, that was before he reconnected with Samantha Wilkenson. Sam had been "the popular girl," in his high school, though to Ronny's surprise she had actually remembered him when he served her some coffee.(She had only really remembered his face, but that was more than Ronny expected anyways.)
She had came in during a slow time and had a nice conversation with Ronny, that turned into a date, then several, then a relationship and finally a marriage, and the newly weds found a new place in a brand new city to start off their marriage. Their relationship was plenty healthy, though Ronny felt more like a junior partner. Sam made all the money through modelling and Ronny acted more as her assistant, he didn't have much of a job outside of managing social media posts, taking pictures, and whatever else Sam needed, and she was needy, even if she wasn't a Diva.
Sam was genuinely a great wife. She was an excellent cook who tried to take care of Ronny just as much as he did her, which had resulted in him getting rather large over their dating life. She had always reassured him that their relationship wasn't just built on looks, but Ronny had his suspicions that Sam was a chubby chaser. He'd seen pictures of her ex's and none of them were less than chubby.
