She is a creature that not only Japan both respects and fears, but it is something the world also respects and fears as well. She is called many things around the world, a monster, a kaiju, a giantess, among many other, but one thing that can best describe her is a pure Demi-goddess. Her origin was a complete mystery, but many people in Japan told the folks, and even their children that she came from the sea one day to ravage the military and the enemy indiscriminately, and even came onto land to destroy those who she believed to be a threat to her power. Many say that she is a terrifying beast, but she is also a misunderstoood one as well.
Part of that came from the battle after WW2, which in this history, she managed to prevent the U.S. from dropping the bombs onto the cities thanks to one of her battles taking place somewhere else when word got out to her. She was fighting a creature which was a lot like the beasts of Cthulhu, and their battle would gone on for days, and both the major cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima was destroyed by both of them, but however, it was by incredible luck that the Japanese military have decided to ultimately aid Maydora and help her defeat the monster, and send it packing. Even if the only reason that they helped her is to hopefully convince her not to destroy them.
To her, she finds the people of Japan nothing but a nuisance, an annoying vermin that really should not meddle their affairs where it doesn’t concern them, but she did saw that they tried to help her defeat the beast, though she had not many issues herself. Guess the people of Japan could be useful in their own way. To her head, it was to let the world know that she isn’t to messed with unless they want to be destroyed by her. Ever since then, the whole island of Japan was ruled by her. Why you might ask?
The government of Japan was prepare to select another emperor as part of their government, but then it dawn on them. With Maydora’s power and strength being so strong and immortal to al of their weapons, it might be better if she ruled over them, promising to appease her to ensure that they can be spared from her wrath. She would usually find herself saying in her head that its not even necessary, but she decided to take it up anyway, but she allowed much of Japan to continue operating as if it was, only difference is that they have a giant bikini-clad preteen who doesn’t age a day older watching their every move.
To be fair she wasn’t impressed by the many things they would try to do for her, like holding festivals in her name of the great monster, though she does find it amusing that they do it because they fear her, but having people working for her like making her a temple in the mountains, or training the army to be better prepared for those monsters by somehow making an army of giants like her if they could, she could possibly rule the world one day if she wanted to, but she was content of ruling Japan, because she already has everything she wants. She is a reluctant goddess, but one that is content with allowing them to see her as a goddess, and even a monster, as at times she craves destruction, like how they know that she must release her power at times, or how she likes to act like a monster by roaring and stomping all over the city just to showcase her power, as a reminder of anyone who dares crosses her path not to mess with her.
And it has been that way even to today, and the island of Japan has been booming as if it was back then mixed with now, with a military that has now somewhat futuristic weaponary and advanced technology, presumedly because Maydora helped them somehow understand her, though at times she wish she didn’t. Still, the world couldn’t help but want to destroy the giantess by any means necessary, so one way or another, they try to negotiate or make her look bad, and there were even people in Japan that makes her look like a dictator or a beast, something that she is indifferent to, as she knows they cannot stop her.
Still, her rule was mostly a peaceful one, besides a few rampages here and there, or something that pleases her like a festival in her name or even somehow a ritual, but that is enough and here is now.
So what part of Maydora’s life do we now focus on for her rule?
