He slouched himself against the side of Mt. Fuji, adjusting himself as felt the peaks eroding away beneath his overwhelming weight until he managed to erode a crude seat for himself to rest on. He had all the time in the world to wait for something to come and try to take him on. He fired the first shot, after all - no doubt there were countless people out there who were outraged and shocked at the senseless loss of life. They would no doubt do anything in their power to find a way to put an end to the reign of the sadistic monster who turned Tokyo into his own personal sandbox.
He had learned in school how during World War II, countless nation drove technological process to its limits in order to satiate the ever-hungering beast of war. Imagine the peaks that humanity would achieve just to stop him!
...but there was no guarantee that the same would occur in this situation. Human nature was rather capricious, after all - Mako certainly never understood why his classmates did half the things they did. Maybe, instead of rising up and attempting to defeat this monster, they would turn to despair. It was one thing to rise up against a known variable: an enemy nation at war, seeking to conquer the other under all was under their dominion. It was quite another to face off against a Japanese schoolboy in breifs who could make the tallest mountain in Japan into a throne with his mass alone. Godzilla and his ilk were mere insects compared to him, with all of Tokyo being little more than funny-looking gravel that he could effortlessly crunch between his feet without a thought.
No give, no struggle. Not even the thrill of tearing metal apart by the foundations. Just hundreds of thousands of tons of concrete and glass dissolving away at the slightest touch like they were made of sugar.
That was why, more than anything else, Mako hoped - no, he prayed that there were more magic stones like the one that he found. There had to be; it was no accident that he happened to find one, he was convinced of that. Some higher power had wanted him to find it and had gone out its way to make sure that he did. He had no idea what its plans were, nor did he care. All he knew was that they most likely involved other giants like him, meaning that there could be more to his newfound kaiju life to look forward to.
As it stood, there was nothing for him left other than this, so whoever had the guts to stand up to better show up quick, cause otherwise he was just going to get bored.
WHat would happen if he got bored? Mako wasn't quite sure yet, but he knew that the world would do anything to not find out.
